Platform & Style

Sharing your identity can be a barrier for many, and may even present legal complications. As such, sharing your identity is an item we will discuss with you in order to determine the best way to share for you.

Anonymity

Each persons story will vary in length, and we will never limit a persons story. As such multiple parts may be done for longer episodes, and shorter or bonus clips can also be created to adapt to the ‘usual’ 45 minute episode slot.

Length

Any concerns or queries can be discussed and the Reclaim Me team is always keen to work with people on sharing their stories in new and creative ways. Reading a victim impact statement or writing a letter to the offender(s) are two examples of ways we can create something new and different.

So, what is the process?

  1. Connect - Send an enquiry via our ‘contact us’ page and begin the conversation!

  2. Initial Booking - Before recording a 30 minute Zoom meeting will be organised, in this meeting you get to meet the host Madeleine, discuss the process in detail, talk about how sharing your story will come together and ultimately make sure you feel safe to share with Madeleine and the Reclaim Me team.

  3. Recording Booking - A 90 minute meeting is then organised for the recording to be competed online. This recording can be longer or shorter and there can be subsequent meetings, however the 90 minutes allows enough time as a starting point.

  4. Edit - The team will then edit the episode recording, that mostly includes cleaning up the audio and listening experience by removing ‘umm’s’ and large pauses.

  5. Review - Each guest has the option to review the recording prior to finalising the episode details, this will allow them to request any edits and to give the final tick of approval.

  6. Post - Before posting images are chosen (of the guest or of other items if anonymous), each guest gets to determine their own episode title and formally approve the go live episode, date, images and titles.
