About the Podcast
Reclaim Me is a weekly real crime podcast that highlights stories from the people at the centre of those crimes; the victim/survivors. This is a platform where survivors of abuse and trauma can tell their stories freely, reclaiming their voice, reclaiming the narrative, and reclaiming control. It is our vision, that all victim survivors have the freedom to tell their story; and through doing so, will provide valuable insight and education, de-stigmatising assault, removing shame and breaking down the many barriers experienced by survivors.
About the Host
I am the creator and host, Madeleine Heather. And as a survivor myself, and true crime aficionado, I found there was a gap within the telling of many stories within the crime genre. Often victim survivors are a footnote in their own story, and in order to pave a path away from shame and stigma, I decided that taking back control and providing people who want to tell their stories a platform would help in changing that narrative. It is such an incredible privilege to continue to bring these stories to you all each and every week!
